Owen Gillis is a 19-year-old Muay Thai prodigy from Liverpool, England. Training at the renowned MASDA Gym since age 7 under coaches like Alex Forman, the Scouser turned raw energy into world-class skill. He exploded onto the pro scene with standout wins including a first-round KO of Kongpop and a decision victory at Bangkok’s legendary Rajadamnern Stadium. In 2024 he captured the WMO International Title in front of his home crowd by stopping Daren Rolland, then, still only 18, travelled to Madrid and dethroned WBC world champion Antonio Orden to claim the WMO Super Featherweight World Title.
Known for razor-sharp elbows, heavy kicks and relentless pressure, Gillis fights at 130–135 lb and draws comparisons to Thailand’s top strikers. Current WMO Super Featherweight World Champion, he remains a proud ambassador for Liverpool’s fight scene, coaching kids at MASDA and carrying the city’s never-say-die spirit into every ring. The Wonderkid from Merseyside is just getting started.
